With one more week to go in the regular season, here is how the playoffs shake out if the season were over today.
1. Ultimate Warrior 36 VP
2. Dragon Steamboat 35 VP
3. Hulkamania 33 VP
4. Bam Bam 29 VP
5. The Rock 29 VP
6. Hitman 28 VP
The only teams that have technically clinched a playoff berth thus far are Ultimate Warrior, Dragon Steamboat & Hulkamania. Although Bam Bam and The Rock would need a catastrophic week 13 paired with an outstanding game from Andre the Giant to miss the playoffs. Given that Ultimate Warrior plays Macho Man in week 13 it's safe to assume he has clinched a bye although the #1 seed is still up in the air with Steamboat only one VP behind. The other bye will go to either Steamboat or Hulkmania.
The 6th seed however, is still very much up for grabs considering the two teams vying for that seed, Hitman and Andre the Giant, are playing each other in week 13. Andre the Giant is trailing Hitman by 3 VP's, however, a win over Hitman this week could give Andre a way to sneak into the playoffs, but he would still need help. If Andre were to score 4 VPs and Hitman got 0 VPs, obviously Andre would be in. However, if Andre gets 3 and Hitman gets 0, or Andre gets 4 and Hitman gets 1 they would be tied in VPS and overall winning percentage. The next tie breaker is All Play record, which Hitman also holds a 87-69 lead over Andre's 82-74, however again if Andre gets the win, it's feasible he could catch Hitman in this category. Assuming further that they tie in All Play record, Andre would win the next tie breaker (H2H winner) in lieu of his week 13 victory over Hitman. So while Hitman currently holds the 6th seed by 3 VP, the fact that he plays Andre the Giant in week 13 makes that lead look far less secure particularly given his three game losing streak.
All other teams have been eliminated from a playoff berth including Nature Boy, who while only 4 VP away from Hitman is two games back in the win department and therefore would lose the tiebreaker even if he were to somehow tie in VPs. However, remember there is a toilet bowl championship so even if you didn't make the playoffs set your lineups!

Haha. I need all the victory points I can get and my team is going to have to start scoring more if I am going to have a chance in the playoffs if I make it.
