Hurricane Irma has forced the NFL to postpone the Week 1 game between Tampa Bay and Miami. This will effect some teams more than others and there isn't much we can do about it. I'm not sure if there are any teams now in the same situation as a couple of our teams in Gangland Dynasty, but just in case I'm going to allow the same exception in WDF.
Teams that due to the PPD game that are now forced to pickup players they didn't wish to pickup and give contracts to players they didn't want to give contracts to can now take advantage of the following exception: Teams with this situation (and only with this situation) will have the ability to pick up players from FCFS (NOT BLIND BID) without having to give them any contract. These players will be immediately dropped after week 1 is complete, no matter how good they play or how badly you want to keep them.
If you need/wish to take advantage of this exception, you must pickup players during the FCFS period (After Wednesday's BB waivers process) and post on your team clubhouse the name of the player(s) you added and that you wish to use this exception on them. The post must be made by Sunday 1pm EST.
If you want to pickup players via Blind Bid, you can, but they will count as normal pickups. If you want to add using FCFS and want the chance to possibly keep them past week 1, no problem, just don't post in your team clubhouse that you want to use the exception.
