Q.1 Blind Bidding Waiver System
The blind bid waiver system allows teams to use their Prize Dollars to place bids on free agents in an effort to acquire them.
Off Season Blind Bidding Waivers: Begins on the first Wednesday of July and run weekly until Week 1 of the regular season.
In Season Blind Bidding Waivers: Begins weekly on Sunday at 1:15 PM EST and runs through Wednesday at 9 pm EST of the same week.
At 9 PM EST the bids will process and the high bidder will acquire the player. If two teams bid the same highest amount the worst ranked team will win. (based on Victory Points, W-L Record, All-play record, Most points, and Alternate Power rank)
Q.2 Blind Bidding Rules
a) The minimum bid that can be placed is 1 PD.
b) All bids must be made in whole dollars.
c) There is no limit to the number of players bid upon or acquired each week.
d) The blind bid waivers are conditional waivers. What this means is that within MFL's waivers, each "round" counts as a selection so if you want to add more than one player, you must setup more than one round. Order of those rounds does not matter as blind bid amount is what takes priority.
Q.3 First Come First Serve Waivers (FCFS)
a) FCFS waivers run weekly from 10:15pm EST Wednesday until Monday at 8:15pm EST during the season
b) Players from any games that start before this time will be locked at kickoff of their game and are only available to be bid on during the blind bid waiver process.
c) There is no limit to the number of players you may acquire each week during FCFS.
d) FCFS pickups are automatically assigned one year contracts.
Q.4 Free Agents that are NOT in the MFL Database
These are players who are not on a NFL team, who are NOT in college, have been NFL draft eligible and are not playing in any other professional league. Players in the Canadian, European or Arena league for example cannot be added to your team as a FA. Kids in high school, middle school, elementary school and even preschool are not permitted as they have not been NFL draft eligible.
Commissioner has sole discretion to determine if a Free Agent not in the MFL database may be added to a team's roster.
In order to acquire one of these players, you need to take 2 steps:
1. Add a retired or truly no name player from the list of free agents.
2. Post to your Team forum page that [name of the player you added] is a placeholder for (name of the player you want to add that isn't in the database).
You have 48 hours from the time you add the placeholder to your team to post your replacement player on your Team forum page. Failure to do so will result in that placeholder being assigned a one year contract.
The Commissioner will make the adjustment to your roster.
