P.1 The Inaugural Draft
a) The inaugural draft will be a straight serpentine style draft with no 3rd round reversal.
b) There will be an 12 hour time limit for each pick in the draft with no suspended overnight clock. The 12 hour timer is there for emergency situations only not as a means to stall for any reason including a perfect trade. You are expected to pick much earlier.
c)The inaugural draft will not include rookies players.
d) The Initial Rookie Draft order will be the reverse of the Inaugural Draft.
e) Picks in rounds 61-67 will serve at the inaugural years rookie picks during the draft. 61.05 = 1.05, 65.13 = 5.13 and so on.
f) The draft order will be determined by a Kentucky Derby Style (KDS) selection process. This means a randomizer will place the teams in the order in which they will select which draft slot they would prefer. Last team gets whatever spot is left over.
g) The draft will last at least 30 rounds.
h) At any time after round 30, teams may opt out of the draft by notifying the Commissioner. Keep in mind you need a minimum of 35 players on your roster by August 15th contract assignment deadline so you will need to acquire additional players through the waiver wire or trading. \
i) A minimum of a one year contract must be given to all players drafted in the inaugural draft and Section M does not apply towards these players. i.e., no penalty free drops for these players until after the contract assignment deadline of August 15th.
j) Draft will be over when the last team opts out.
P.2 The Rookie Draft
a) The annual rookie draft will start on May 14 at 10:00 am EST.
b) The draft lasts 7 rounds.
c) Every round of the draft will go in order 1-14 (Not Serpentine)
d) There will be an 12 hour time limit for each pick in the draft with no suspended overnight clock. The 12 hour timer is there for emergency situations only not as a means to stall for any reason including a perfect trade. You are expected to pick much earlier.
e) We encourage trading, but trading prior to your pick is far more encouraged then trading while on the clock, but is understandable in certain situations, e.g., the player you were targeting got sniped in front of you. Please try to resolve the fate of that pick (trade or not) as soon as possible.
f) If the draft is moving along too slowly the timer will decrease to as low as 2 hours with a suspended clock, but hopefully that will not be necessary.
P.3 Rookie Draft Order: (After the Inaugural Year)
Non-Playoff Teams will be ranked by the following criteria:
1. Lowest Victory Points
2. Lowest Winning Percentage
3. Lowest All-Play Percentage
4. Lowest Total Points
5. Lowest Power Ranking
Playoff teams will be ranking in the order they are eliminated from the playoffs. Teams that are knocked out in the same round will be placed using the same criteria as above.
