J.1 Lineup Structure
Starting lineups must consist of exactly 21 players - 10 Offensive players and 11 Defensive players.
The following are the minimum and maximum you may start at each position on a given week.
QB = 1 - 2
RB = 2 - 5
WR = 2 - 6
TE = 1 - 4
PK = 0 - 1
------------------
DT = 1 - 4
DE = 1 - 4
LB = 1 - 4
CB = 1 - 3
S = 1 - 4
J.2 Valid Lineups
a) All teams must submit a valid starting lineup each week prior to the start of the NFL game that their players are scheduled to play in.
b) Lineups do not carry over from week to week. You must submit a new one every week. A valid starting lineup is required in weeks 1-13 and recommended through week 16 to compete for the toilet bowl prize.
c) A valid and complete starting lineup is defined as having all starters that are not on a bye, not on injured reserve, not retired, not declared inactive more than 24 hours prior to that players game and in accordance with section J.1 above.
d) Owners are also expected to be aware of their players' news feed on the MFL site (found by clicking on the players name) and ensuring that no players will be in their starting lineup who have a "clearly printed case that they will not play" or an indicator which is a red "O" on the lineup submit page with more than 24 hours notice before that players game.
e) The articles in the news feed are time stamped and those times will be binding in disputes.
f) The Commissioner will only penalize teams if he has what he feels is hard evidence that a violation occurred and this is at his discretion.
Examples of news feed wording that would constitute a violation if it is present 24 hours or more in advance of players game start:
(FFToday) It's official: Percy Harvin will not play Sunday in Green Bay.
(Rotoworld) Percy Harvin (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Week 13 versus the Packers.
(FFChamps) Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin (ankle) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game.
(KFFL) The Pittsburgh Steelers have declared WR Antonio Brown inactive for Week 12.
(FFChamps) Pittsburgh wideout Antonio Brown (ankle) returned to practice this week and said he was expecting to play Sunday but he won't be active.
J.3 Starting Lineup Violations and Penalties
A lineup must be submitted every week as there is no lineup carry-over from week to week.
Failure to submit a lineup:
The previous weeks lineup will be submitted less all bye week, injured, suspended or otherwise out players of whom will be replaced at the discretion of the Commissioner. If the Commissioner has a conflict of interest an owner with no conflict will be chosen to make these decisions. The players will be inserted with a complete disregard of their points scored for the week. In addition, the owner who failed to set a lineup will receive a 50 PD penalty on the first offense of the season. The second offense will result in either a lost of a 2nd round draft pick or be considered for league expulsion.
Failure to submit a valid and complete lineup:
If an owner starts a lineup, but does not start a valid and complete lineup, the Commissioner will use the same process as described above. The owner that fails to set a complete valid lineup will incur a 15 PD penalty on the first offense; a 50 PD penalty on the second offense and lost of future 3rd round draft pick or be considered for league expulsion.
J.4 Additional Notes
a) The Commissioner reserves the right to modify valid starting lineups rules and penalties to account for extreme circumstances.
b) Players are locked into the lineup or out of it once their game kicks off as recognized by myfantasyleague.com.
c) Mistakes in the starting lineup are the sole responsibility of the owner. Submitting your lineup while drunk/high or from a cell phone or Ipad is at your risk and will not be deemed an acceptable excuse by the League.
